ARTSAKH RELIEF AND OUR GRATITUDE

Installation Photographs and News Headlines

Our opening this Saturday was a rollercoaster of emotions. We were happy to see each and every face of our friends, family and visitors. But we were horrified at the catastrophe unfolding before our eyes in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh)

While we were busy printing images from Armenia and Artsakh, our thoughts were consumed by the people who call that place home – people who have faced unimaginable struggles, denied access to basic necessities, medicine, starved for the last nine months, and eventually, on September 19th, were attacked, bombed, driven out of their homes, and accused as criminals for defending their ancestral land.

Today, more than fifty thousand Armenians, out of its 120,000 population, have already left their homes in the real fear of ethnic cleansing—murder—expected to be committed by Azerbaijan.

Centuries ago, Armenian monasteries played a crucial role in preserving our national identity. Today, we aim to use the images of these monasteries for a similar purpose. In times of existential crisis, they must once again serve the people who cherished them and whose ancestors built them.

We are committed to making a meaningful contribution to the relief efforts in Artsakh and are donating 40% of the proceeds from the sale of our prints to the relief fund.

We invite you to join us, learn about what is happening, spread the word, acquire these prints for financial contribution or donate directly. Please reach out to your senators and representative to demand sanctions against Azerbaijan. Together, we can make a difference. Our fundraising goal is 10k within the duration of the exhibition. Proceeds will be donated to a relief fund of your choice.
